White
Dress
by Huy Can
Being dressed in a simple
white dress and carrying pure white dreams
You came one day
with eyes and heart that were same bright as a team
You came pervading,
illuminating the light, and shining on a dreamer
Your pearly heels
gathering fragrances, your steps spreading rose flowers.
You are pretty even
to the slender and tapering fingers;
You are charming
even to the cheeks where sunshine makes them rounder.
You gather the bluish
green winds into your lovely hair stream
And blow even the
mountains into my room as if in a dream.
When you are speaking,
I hear both the sounds and the words ringing;
I feel your soul
in every ins and outs of my breathing.
The poetic sunrays
are weaving brightness on the flaps of your dress
Little leaves are
floating outside the front porch in their happiness.
We are in a heavenly
bliss for a whole long day.
It is the happiness
you grant me in handfuls, I say.
Where your white
dress is as limpid as a brook flowing
And pervading both
our souls flutteringly on the dreamy flying wings.
