Chasing
Happiness
by Han Mac
Tu
When I depart from this
life, how joyful life would seem to be
It would be full
of passions along with sweetness for me …
Meanwhile my heart
is feeling excited with a feeling so fine
And a feeling dazed
with a longing of drinking Quynh Dao wine
Hear you that I am
craving for the feeling of precious love
Of the naïve patrons
who usually long for the love on the go
While the warm fresh
love is softly stimulated and aroused
I am myself infatuated
with love as its scent is all around
That night I was
dreaming about beautiful flowers on the way going
I was keen on chasing
the shadow of the moon while it was shining
While the wind was
aimlessly blowing as if it were attached to the flowers
Only to resound
next to my ears the voices of lamenting murmurs
Since then I have
been constantly infatuated with love forever
With the god of
Happiness and with illusory, empty honour
Despite my experiencing
so many difficulties and much danger
But ultimately nobody
could understand and appreciate me, if ever
